π OUR SPORT NEEDS OFFICIALS β AND YOU CAN BE PART OF IT!
Every motorcycle event in Tasmania relies on people behind the scenes and trackside to make it happen.
Officials are quite simply essential to our sport. Without them, events cannot go ahead. But the more people who get involved, the easier the workload becomes for everyone β many hands really do make light work.
You don't need to be a racer or have years of experience. If you're a parent, partner, friend, former rider or simply someone who enjoys being around motorcycle sport, becoming an Official is a fantastic way to get involved and support your club and its riders.
There are plenty of different roles to suit different people β from Flag and Track Marshals, Starters and Timekeepers, through to key roles including Race Secretary, Technical Officer/Machine Examiner, Clerk of Course, Steward and Referee.
And getting started is easier than you might think.
π’ NEW TO OFFICIATING?
Start with the Level 1 Operational Official pathway. Registration and training are free, and the initial learning can be completed online through RiderNet and the MA Learning Centre.
π΄ READY TO BECOME A KEY OFFICIAL?
Motorcycling Tasmania has a dedicated pathway explaining the training, practical experience and competency assessment required to progress into Level 2 and higher official roles.
We've put the information together so you don't have to work it out yourself:
